II Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace z Oddzialami Dwujezycznymi w Slupsku

“The wisdom comes from your own hard work” – paraphrasing our patron, we are proud of our students. The beginnings of our school date back to the year 1949. The thing which the school offers first and foremost is the possibility of attending to the best educational institution in Słupsk. It has been confirmed in various rankings published in media. Every year the school is ranked the best in our city or region. Every single day provides us with loads of hard work, nevertheless it also brings us vast pride of our students when they succeed. We are the promoters of the United Europe. The members of the School European Club have repeatedly won the Contests of Knowledge of European Union and they deal with propagating competence in the European Union-the countries, their history, geography, famous people, and institutions among other students and their families. Since 1989 we have been constantly a partner in students or teachers exchange programs, starting with international exchanges, via Comenius mobilities andprojects, ending up with the Erasmus+. The youngsters of our school are offered a possibility to study 6 different languages – English/German/French/Italian/Spanish/Russian. But
we also emphasize the key role of a family background, the right to education for the disabled or the maladjusted. Per their individual needs we deal with particularly talented students as well. No matter their family, social, economic situation, our goal is to provide the students with the access to education, freedom of speech, will and choice, right to live healthily and safely. We also try to prepare them for their future life in modern and multicultur-al Europe. Keeping up with modern Europe" - this is one of the motifs of our actions on daily
basis. We wish to be up - to - date as our students are, we wish to keep up with them in the new world of modern technologies, we finally wish to be their partners in contemporary reality, even if it is to be partly virtual. Even if we think about the age of the youngest of us still, it really highlights the generation gap between us and ourstudents. After all, in today's technological world 5 - 10 years seems to be eternity. However, the second field - the teaching itself cannot be neglected. We hope to improve our language skills, acknowledge new methods and techniques used in modern teaching. We are willing to exchange our teaching experience with teachers from abroad. At the same time taking part in different projects helps us, teachers face and complete tasks connected with improving our skills and gaining new experience heading to the improvement of the quality of our school. That is why we are looking for the ways to achieve something, not reasons to do nothing.
